Hello! I’m Melissa, otherwise known as Rat, owner and creator of KnotRat Creative.
If KnotRat Creative had a slogan it would go something like, “Built to last, but made for the here and now”. Meaning that I use 100% all-natural recycled cotton cord and knots that are built tough. But each item is handmade by me, just for you. Over time, wear is expected to be seen on something that’s been loved, but that’s no reason not to love it anyway.
In fact, it’s the main reason I love macrame so much - I love art that can be touched! With that in mind, I do my best to ensure quality craftsmanship and durability so that even more delicate pieces, such as a mirror or wall hanging, are encouraged to be felt and interacted with just as more durable pieces such as my coasters and plant hangers are made for everyday use.
